“We had a great family holiday during the off peak season – our favourite time for the West of Ireland. This is a fantastic house in a quiet rural location. The lodge is superbly decorated and furnished in a classic Victorian style with beautiful gardens.

It is well located for exploring the north Connemara region. We visited Kylemore Abbey, the Renvyle peninsula, climbed the Diamond Mountain, and on “soft” weather days we whiled away a few happy hours in the Clifden shops.

Thanks so much Barbara and Conall, we had a fantastic stay in your beautiful house. The rhododendron were in full bloom – what color! Your place was very comfortable and offered us a home away from home. Booking communication was excellent and we checked-in without a hitch. Also, we were pleasantly surprised with the Connemara hamper upon our arrival!

My husband said the golf course in Ballconneely was spectacular! We enjoyed the drives through the mountains and along the Sky Road. Mostly, we liked to light the wood burning stoves and enjoy the house. The kids appreciated the fast Wifi which seemed to work everywhere in the house. The large flatscreen TV was an asset on those days when we decided to stay in.

We have booked our return trip back for next year already!”

“This is a very nice clean house suitable for family with kids including a den with a TV and loads of space, there’s a laundry room and the bedroom layout is very good. The house is a 13 minute drive into Clifden which is a charming small town worth spending some time in. I even managed to get some fishing in on some beautiful lakes.

There is lots to visit in the area- beautiful scenery, historic and unspoilt sites and cozy pubs and good restaurants- particularly for local seafood which is excellent.
